By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These guidelines are in place to ensure clear communication, mutual understanding, and a smooth, enjoyable experience as we work together to create something truly special, both beautiful and delicious, for your occasion.

1. Deposits & Cancellations (Excluding Wedding Cakes)

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order and reserve your desired pickup or delivery date. The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than 7 working days before your scheduled date. Failure to make full payment by the deadline will result in cancellation of your order, and the deposit will be forfeited.

2. Deposits & Cancellations (Wedding Cakes)

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm all wedding cake bookings. If a cancellation request is received at least 30 working days before the scheduled date, the deposit may be transferred to another order. Final payment is due 20 working days before the event. Non-payment by this date will result in cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit.
All changes to size, design, flavour, or other specifications must be made before the final payment date. Any changes requested afterwards are not guaranteed and may incur additional charges.
If cancellation occurs at least 30 working days before the scheduled date, a refund (excluding the deposit) may be issued.

3. Cake Freshness & ‘Best Before’ Date

All cakes are made to ensure peak freshness on the agreed delivery or pickup date—this is considered the cake’s “best before” date. If no event date is specified, the pickup or delivery date will apply. We cannot guarantee quality or freshness beyond this point.

4. Flavour & Texture

Taste is subjective, and therefore, no refunds will be provided based on flavour or texture after the cake has been picked up or delivered. However, if the entire cake is returned within 48 hours, and we determine the quality is not up to standard, we may offer a maximum 10% refund.
All cakes are made fresh using natural ingredients. They should be kept at room temperature for at least 2 hours before serving. Environmental factors like heat and humidity may affect flavour, appearance, and texture, and are beyond our control.

5. Collection, Delivery & Set-up

Delivery and setup services are available for an additional fee, calculated by distance. We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after setup. You must provide a sturdy, level table and an environment maintained between 10°C and 20°C.
We offer a dedicated delivery and set-up service for all wedding and celebration cakes. This ensures your cake arrives safely and is set up beautifully at your venue on the day of your event. I deliver your cake, stack it, and add any final decorations on-site to ensure everything is perfect for your big day.
Delivery & Setup Charges:
£50.00 — within a 10-mile radius of Deocraft Cakes
£80.00 — between 10–15 miles of Deocraft Cakes
£100.00+ — for locations over 15 miles from our bakery (final cost based on distance and venue requirements)
Collection Option
Single-tier and two-tier wedding cakes can be collected from our store if preferred. If you’re collecting the day before your event, please note:
• Any fresh flowers will be placed in water-filled flower tubes.
• Butter iced cakes must be stored in a refrigerator overnight.
• Be mindful of the size of the cake boxes when planning transportation and storage.
Customers may choose to collect their cakes instead of opting for delivery. If so, Deocraft Cakes is not liable for any damage after the cake leaves our premises.
Once a cake has been collected or delivered, it is considered accepted, and full responsibility transfers to the customer.

6. Refund Policy

Refunds are only issued under the following conditions:
Non-Delivery: If we fail to deliver your cake on the agreed date, a full 100% refund will be issued. Delays of an hour or less are not eligible. No refund will be issued if incorrect delivery details were provided.
Design Discrepancy at Pickup: If the cake does not match the agreed design and is refused at collection, a 75% refund will be issued. The cake must be returned unused.
Design Discrepancy at Delivery: If the delivered cake does not meet expectations and is refused on delivery, a 75% refund will be issued. The full cake must be returned immediately.
Note: If you accept the cake, you are not eligible for a refund. No partial refunds will be negotiated. Refunds will be processed within 7 business days.

7. Photography & Promotion

We may photograph our cakes for promotional purposes and reserve the right to use these images on our website, social media, or marketing materials without compensation.

8. Cake Stand & Knife Hire

Cake stands and knives are available for hire and require a refundable deposit.
Items must be returned clean and undamaged within 5 days of your event to receive a full refund. To avoid accidental damage, please do not wash or disassemble the stand yourself.

9. Colour Matching

We will make every effort to match your colour swatches as closely as possible. However, exact colour replication using sugar paste is not always possible due to the nature of food colouring and materials.

10. Serving Sizes

Cakes are made to your specified serving requirements. Our standard serving size is 1” x 2”. If you serve larger portions and run out of cake, Deocraft Cakes is not responsible.
Additional servings can be provided through larger tiers or sheet cakes upon request. Our standard cake height is approximately 6” or taller, providing generous portions.

11. Artistic Interpretation

Every cake is handmade and unique. While we welcome inspiration photos, exact duplication is not guaranteed. Artistic interpretation and adjustments may be applied to ensure quality and structure.

12. Liability & Allergen Disclaimer

We take every care to meet your design requirements. If any last-minute adjustments are required, they may incur an additional fee.
Our cakes may contain or come in contact with common allergens such as milk, eggs, wheat, nuts, and soy. Customers are responsible for informing their guests.
If you provide fresh flowers from a third party, please note that they are not considered food-safe and may contain pesticides or other contaminants. Deocraft Cakes accepts no responsibility for these materials.
